Stan Miller is the senior partner of Miller & Schrader, P.A., a national estate planning law firm based in Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1975, he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tennessee. While at Vanderbilt, he served as an associate editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. Prior to law school, Mr. Miller earned an undergraduate degree from Arkansas Polytechnic College where he served as President of the student body. Professional Practice and Experience Mr. Miller advises clients with respect to a wide range of issues relating to wills and trusts, estate planning, trust administration, corporate and partnership matters, charitable giving, private foundations, supporting organizations, life insurance and taxation. In addition, Mr. Miller counsels with clients on an array of matters relating to family owned businesses, including succession planning, governance and control, and the relationship of these issues to family relationships. Memberships Mr. Miller is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Central Arkansas Planned Giving Council and the National Council on Planned Giving. In the past, Mr. Miller has also served as an elected member of the Board of Directors of the City of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and as a member of the Board of Directors of St. Josephs Regional Health Center. He has also served as a Special Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court and as a member of the Arkansas Commemorative Commission which is the governing body for Arkansas first state capitol. Author Mr. Miller is one of the co-authors of the Family Limited Partnership Compendium, a multi-volume family limited partnership practice system for attorneys. Presenter Mr. Miller is a co-presenter of The Joint Living Trust, which was presented initially for the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys Spring, 1996 Collegium in Tucson, Arizona in March of 1996. Mr. Miller has also served as an instructor for the Estate Planning WorkshopÓ , an introductory course of estate planning for attorneys, sponsored by the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys Incorporated. Founder Mr. Miller is a founding member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys Incorporated. He is also a founder and principal of The Jackson Group, LLC, a national estate planning consulting firm that incorporates a distinctive team approach to creating estate plan designs for high net worth individuals and families. Tom Womack is a principal in the Jonesboro, Arkansas, law firm of Womack, Landis, Phelps, McNeill & McDaniel. His practice is limited to the areas of taxation, estates and trusts, and business and corporate law. Mr. Womack is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the Colleges Professional Responsibility Committee. He is a Board Recognized Specialist in Tax Law and is a past chairman of the Tax Section of the Arkansas Bar Association. He is an active member of the Tax Section of the American Bar Association, serving on its Estate and Gift Tax Committee and Sales, Exchanges and Basis Committee. Pictured in the first row, third from the right, Cathy Lewis practices in the business and tax department of Bridges, Young, Matthews and Drake PLC. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, a Master of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Prior to law school, she worked in the areas of accounting and insurance, specifically as accounting manager for Jefferson Regional Medical Center and president of Agents Mutual Insurance Company. Mrs. Lewis advises clients in the areas of estate and tax planning, probate, business formations, trust administration, charitable planning and retirement and insurance planning. Mrs. Lewis is a member of the American Bar Association and the Arkansas Bar Association tax sections. She serves as the Vice President of Finance for the Junior League of Pine Bluff and has chaired several volunteer committees and charitable fundraisers.
