John Holleman is certified by the Louisiana Board Of Legal Specialization as an Estate Planning and Administration Specialist.

He graduated from the Louisiana State University Law School in 1974. After graduation he worked as a legislative analyst in the Louisiana Office of Legislative Counsel, and as Clerk for the Judges of the 16th Judicial District Court. In 1977, he went into the private practice of law.

His general practice since that time has included significant experience in estate planning and succession matters. In 1997, he and Layne Lee formed the firm of Holleman & Lee, LLC, which limits its practice to the area of estate planning, including wills, trusts, successions, business succession planning, family limited partnerships, and other similar disciplines.

He has served as Chairman of the Board of Epiphany Day School in New Iberia, La.,Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of The Episcopal School of Acadiana, President of the Iberia Jaycees, and as counsel for the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Department.

He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Fifth Circuit Bar Association, and the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, he has served as member of the House Of Delegates of the Louisiana State Bar Association and is currently a member of the Trust, Estate Probate and Taxation Sections of the Louisiana State Bar Association.

He is married to the former Betsy Dale and they have three children ages 20, 13, and 8.
