Craig A. Erickson

Practice

Mr. Erickson concentrates primarily in the areas of advanced estate and business succession planning with particular expertise in the areas of charitable giving and family limited partnerships. He also works in the area of corporate and commercial law. He has recently been named to a national estate planning advisory network of 300 attorneys representing a national brokerage firm.

Biographical Notes

Mr. Erickson earned a B.A. degree in political science from Gonzaga University in 1970 and graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 1974.

Mr. Erickson joined Chestnut & Cambronne as a law clerk in April of 1972 and he became a shareholder in 1981.

Professional Associations

Mr. Erickson is a member of the Hennepin County and Minnesota State Bar Associations and is a member of the Hennepin County Bar Association Probate and Real Estate Sections. Mr. Erickson is admitted to practice before the State Courts and the Federal District Court.

From 1976-1980, he served as commander of a United States Army Reserve Military Intelligence Unit at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. He was a member of the Roseville Jaycees for six years, serving as president for the last two years. He has been on the school board of St. Odilia School in Arden Hills, Minnesota, for five years, serving as chariman for the last two years. He is chairman of the board of Minnesota Special Olympics.

Karen C. Hansen

Ms. Hansen is a partner in the law firm of Parsinen Kaplan Rosberg and Gotlieb, P.A. Jeffrey W. Lambert

Mr. Lambert is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, cum laude, in Mathematics and a Juris Doctorate. He is admitted to practice before the Bar of the State of Minnesota, the Federal District Court for the State of Minnesota and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Bar Associations of Minnesota and of Hennepin County.

He is also a past member of two Committees of the Hennepin County Bar Association-Ethics Committee(1988-99) and the Nominating Committee(1990-99).

Attorney Profile:

Greg Hammes practices in our Estate Planning and Probate Group. His practice is focused on estate planning, probate, and business planning. Greg is a Certified Public Accountant and practiced for a while in that field before joining the firm. He enjoys the challenge of preparing complicated estate plans, coordinating the work of the staff, and meeting with his clients.

Before becoming a lawyer, Greg worked for a year as an accountant in the auditing department of the accounting firm now known as Eide Bailly. After graduating from law school in 1991 and prior to joining the Gunhus Law Firm in 1993, Greg worked for a year in the tax department of Eide Bailly in its Fargo, North Dakota office.

Greg attended Bismarck State University on a basketball scholarship and later completed his undergraduate college education at the University of North Dakota where he studied accounting. Business law courses at UND sparked an interest in the law that later led Greg to choose law as his career path. While attending the University of North Dakota School of Law, Greg took as many business and tax courses as possible to prepare for a career as a business/tax attorney. Greg attained his Juris Doctor degree in 1992, with distinction.

Greg is married and is the proud father of a new-born baby girl. He continues to enjoy physical fitness activities, including long distance running, a sport he took up after his education ended. He has run in at least 14 marathons including the Boston, Chicago, Walt Disney World, Twin Cities, Marine Corps., and Grandma's marathons. He also finds time to enjoy time with his family, listening to music, and spending time out of doors.
