Anderson, Dorn & Schulze, Ltd.
Firm Philosophy
Most of us spend the better portion of our lives building wealth. And once we have assured
a comfortable lifestyle for ourselves and a legacy to pass onto those we love, we may
consider our job finished. In fact, we've just begun.
Building wealth is only half the job. Just as important is protecting the wealth we've so
diligently accumulated for ourselves and our loved ones.
Today that's never been a greater challenge. The ravages of taxes, the threat of lawsuits,
and the final insult of probate can dramatically reduce the size of our estates.
That's why at Anderson, Dorn & Schulze, Ltd. we consider a wisely drafted, carefully
executed estate plan such a critical part of a family's wealth management. It's also why
we at Anderson, Dorn & Schulze, Ltd. have focused our practice exclusively on estate
planning. Our guiding principle is to deliver nothing less than the best estate planning
services possible to our clients.
Few of the processes we will undertake are as personal-and as potentially rewarding-as
planning for the preservation and the disposition of our estates. That's why the legal
professionals you work with should not only have exemplary legal qualifications, they
should also have the interpersonal skills required to help you successfully complete this
process.
Anderson, Dorn & Schulze, Ltd. brings all of these attributes to the estate planning
practice.
Anderson, Dorn & Schulze, Ltd. is a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning
Attorneys and has received Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating (AV) for excellence and
ethics.

extensively on estate and tax planning matters and has published many articles in

Gerald M. Dorn
Gerald Dorn, a shareholder at Anderson, Dorn & Schulze, Ltd., has a mission in life -
to educate the public on estate and tax planning strategies so that they don't lose their
hard-earned assets to taxes and probate. He made the decision to pursue a career in estate
planning after witnessing the personal grief and financial loss suffered by several of his
clients as a result of probate and death taxes. This experience impelled him to focus his
practice on estate-planning strategies that could protect his clients and help them to
preserve their life's work for their heirs. Mr. Dorn is able to accomplish his mission
through the use of a number of estate planning tools, both basic and advanced, for all of
his clients at Anderson, Dorn & Schulze, Ltd.
Professional:
Just out of law school, Mr. Dorn helped found Harris & Dorn, LLP, a private firm in
San Diego that concentrated on civil litigation, estate planning and probate cases. A
short time later he was offered a position as general counsel to a national estate
planning company, drafting documents and teaching continuing legal education classes to
attorneys, financial planners and accountants on topics such as estate planning for IRS's
and tax qualified plans, trust administration and fiduciary duties. As an attorney with
Anderson & Dorn, Ltd., Mr. Dorn handles much of the advanced planning, providing his
expertise on Family Limited Partnerships, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts, Charitable
Remainder Trusts and Qualified Personal Residence Trusts. He is a member of the American
Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, the State Bar of California's Estate Planning, Trust
and Probate Law Section, the American Bar Association's Real Property, Probate and Trust
Law Section, The Nevada Bar Association and the Washoe County Bar Association.

attend the California Western School of Law, where he was honored with the American
Jurisprudence Award in Legal Research and Writing with recognition in Who's Who Among
American Law Students. He is currently working on his Master's degree in Taxation from

Mr. Dorn prefers the outdoors when not working, and spends his time skiing, mountain
biking, camping, fishing and hiking.
Bradley B Anderson
Attorney Brad Anderson has worked in private law firms and has also spent more than a
decade working the corporate world before founding his own firm in 1995. During that time,
he was involved in probate, estate planning and litigation, and served as senior counsel
for two major financial institutions. He has witnessed the often-devastating effects of
probate and poor estate planning on many estates. When he eventually decided to go out on
his own, this experience led him to focus exclusively on estate planning, providing his
clients with a full range of basic and advanced planning options.
Professional Experience:
With a bachelor's degree in education and special education in hand, Mr. Anderson began
his professional life as a teacher. Not your average educator, he took on the exceptional
challenge of teaching the mentally challenged blind. After four years as a special
education teacher, Mr. Anderson returned to school to obtain his law degree and begin a
second career. Upon finishing law school, he worked for a civil litigation firm, spending
five years in litigation, probate and wills work. He then went on to Wells Fargo Credit
Corporation where he served as senior counsel, serving offices in more than 20 states
across the country. From there he moved to First Interstate Bank, where as senior counsel
he oversaw several divisions including the Trust Department. Armed with a wealth of
experience, he started his own estate planning practice in 1995.
Education:
A 1973 graduate of Brigham Young University in Utah, Mr. Anderson obtained his bachelor's
degree in education and special education. He continued his education at Lewis & Clark
Law School in Portland, Oregon where in 1979 he earned his Juris Doctorate.
Personal:
Married with six children, Mr. Anderson is active in his church and volunteers for the Boy
Scouts of America, having served in local units as well as district and council position

of the Year for his participation in community volunteer efforts.
