Morton Bobowick specializes in the area of estate planning, probate and trust administration, and business succession planning. Mr. Bobowick believes that estate planning and business succession should combine the often opposing ideas of meeting the client’s personal objectives, but at the least tax cost. To that end, he advises clients on the drafting of revocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, family limited partnerships, limited liability companies, charitable remainder trusts, discounted gifts, and other estate planning strategies.

Attorney’s Background

Mr. Bobowick graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1965. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Toledo Bar Association. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section of the Ohio State Bar Association, as well as a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is on the editorial advisory board of the Probate Law Journal of Ohio. Mr. Bobowick has lectured extensively for the Ohio Continuing Legal Education Institutes on the subject of Estate Planning and Trust and Probate Administration. He is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Toledo College of Law where he teaches classes on Trusts and Estates. In addition, he has taught a substantial number of courses for the Lucas County chapter of the American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters, including a masters level course. He is a member of the Toledo Estate Planning Council and Treasurer of the Toledo Area Planned Giving Council.

Biography:
WILLIAM H. GOSLINE is a partner in the estate planning and probate practice group in the Toledo, Ohio office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP. His principal areas of practice are estate planning, estate and trust administration and guardianship law.

Mr. Gosline has extensive experience in the estate planning and trust law area representing a wide variety of individuals and in the area of personal and business succession planning. His practice includes the entire elder law area of planning.

Mrs. Woodward has extensive experience in representing personal representatives and trustees. She also regularly represents fiduciaries in Ohio and Michigan. She has substantial experience in domestic and international adoptions.

Mrs. Woodward is a member of the Toledo, Lucas County and Ohio State Bar Associations. She is a member and past Secretary and Chair of the Probate Court Committee, as well as a member of the Toledo Estate Planning Council. Career Highlights

Mr. Ireton concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianship and tax law.

His broad base probate practice includes a particular focus on probate litigation. He is active in the American Bar Association's Probate and Trust Committee, the Ohio State Bar Association's Probate Committee and he is former chairman of the Columbus Bar Association's Probate Committee. Rich Ashley combines an extensive background in business with a wide range of legal experience to provide his clients with a uniquely practical perspective. An attorney since 1974, he now devotes his practice primarily to estate planning and asset protection. Rich also offers a variety of business organization and consulting services to his clients through out Northeast Ohio.

Experience:

Mr. Ashley began his legal career as a Captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps. After five years, including service in Korea, Rich left the Army and joined a private practice in Indianapolis in 1979. He spent the 1980s in corporate positions in Akron, Columbus and Miami, Florida. Rich returned to the private practice of law in 1992. Rich is admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of the United States, Ohio and Indiana. Rich is a member of the Akron Bar Association and the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys.

Education:

Mr. Ashley earned his Bachelor's degree in Education and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Akron. After serving in the military, he completed a Masters of Business Administration in Finance at Indiana University in 1981.

Personal:

A native of Akron, Rich and his wife Laura are the parents of two small children. His hobbies include motorcycles, aviation and motor sports.
