Profile: Cynthia O'Dell is a partner in the law firm of
McCormick and O'Dell. An attorney since 1988, she devotes her practice to meeting the

She then practiced asbestos and breast implant litigation with the law firm of Ness, Motley, Loadholt, Richardson & Poole, PA. In 1996 she and Ms. McCormick formed the law
firm of McCormick and O'Dell. Ms. O'Dell is admitted to practice in all South Carolina
courts, U.S. Federal Court and is a Certified Mediator. She is a member of the American
Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association, the South Carolina Council for
Conflict Resolution, the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, and the National
Employment Lawyers Association. Cynthia O'Dell graduated from the College of
Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1981. She attended the University of South
Carolina Law School, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree in 1988. Ms. O'Dell is
certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as a Circuit Court Mediator, and is an

His practice is comprised primarily of tax law matters for general business corporations, nonprofit organizations, partnerships and individuals and estate planning and probate matters. Alton also does a substantial amount of corporate and general business transaction work, including, business entity creations, business and asset acquisitions, corporate mergers, business entity conversions, stock restriction, repurchase and redemption agreements, and like-kind exchanges. Alton also has experience in local and state
tax issues with considerable representation in matters of property tax protests, sales tax
exemptions, bingo tax regulations, and business license audits. Alton has taught a course
for para-legals in trust and estates and has lectured on estate planning, trusts and
